My work is driven by the questions: What is it like to be a person? What draws the mind into eddies or contractions? What are the limits to our self-knowing? What specific conditions produce natural personal evolution?
I'm fascinated by the psychological differences among people — how minds organize using different strategies to survive and navigate the world. I'm curious about both expanded states of consciousness as well as contracted ones. I've studied existential philosophy, psychology and cognitive science, including time at the Berlin School of Mind and Brain and at a psychology research think tank, where I began training in coaching modalities including parts-based work and coherence techniques. I've since spent many years in continued training across therapeutic modalities, embodiment practices, and contemplative traditions.
My work draws on various systems of knowing including daoist energetics, yoga, buddhist meditation, and relational practices all inform my understanding of the self. Throughout sessions we may invoke somatic, imaginal, or intuitive methods to guide through your experience.
I've been coaching for over seven years now, and I continue learning.****
